In the far north, inside a giant rowan tree is the home of the Boreal Academy of Welehola: Sanctuary of Mystical Arts and Arcane Wisdom in the Arctic Realms. If the Welehola campus grows too small, you’re free to seek the secrets hidden in the green ocean of the Wildlands; an endless wilderness looming at the doorstep of the academy. Mayhaps you might even solve the mystery left behind by the mythical Founders of Welehola. The world of Welehola is rich with history and legend, taking inspiration from classical and contemporary works of fantasy, with a unique Nordic bend.

Faq

When is the release?

As of now, we are looking to get funded, and depending on when we are, we are planning to get an early access version out in one year and a 1.0 full release out a year after that. The approximated full production timeline for Welehola will be two years.

There’s romance involved, is the game SFW?

The story is written with a PG-13 rating in mind, so you’ll be safe playing or watching the game on the train or at your desk. Don’t let your boss catch you though.

Can I play with friends?

We’ve planned for an option to play Welehola in a 4-player co-op mode.

About the Developer

CozyNest was formed in 2024 by designers from Finland with backgrounds spanning a variety of disciplines from graphic design to law. What brought CozyNest together was a game business class organized by Levelappi, but most importantly a burning desire to make games that would scratch our gaming itches - thus our debut project Welehola came to be. We’re a team of nerds glued together by our love of games old and new, each of us bringing a unique skill set to the table to turn fantastical ideas into magical reality!
